Private Funds Lawyer Joins Fried Frank; Sheppard Mullin Adds Healthcare Partner
• Aron Zuckerman has joined Simpson Thacher & Bartlett as a partner in the firm’s real estate practice. He was previously with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.
• Sheppard Mullin has added Stephanie Marcantonio as a healthcare partner. She joins from Crowell & Moring where she was a partner. The firm has also added Jared Nagley as a partner in its antitrust & competition practice group and healthcare industry team. He was previously counsel at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.
• Audra Cohen has joined Fried Frank as a partner in its asset management practice. She joins from Goodwin Procter, where she was a partner in that firm’s private investment funds practice and real estate industry business unit.
• Perkins Coie has added Zach Hong as a partner to the firm’s intellectual property practice and patent prosecution subgroup. He joins from Cleerly, a digital healthcare company, where he was general counsel and chief compliance officer.
• Fox Rothschild has added Gerald (Jerry) Hathaway as a partner in the firm’s labor & employment department. He was formerly a partner at Faegre Drinker.
• Mitsubishi Motors North America has promoted Katherine Knight to senior vice president, chief legal and administrative officer. She most recently served as VP, chief legal officer, HR & corporate governance.
• Foley & Lardner has added partner Jeff Symons to its transactions practice. He was formerly a partner at Schulte Roth & Zabel.
• Floriane Lavaud has joined Withers as a senior equity partner in its US arbitration practice. She was formerly with Debevoise & Plimpton.
• Morrison Foerster has added Rhys Bortignon as a partner in the firm’s global finance group. He joins from White & Case.
• Smith, Gambrell & Russell has added four attorneys to the firm’s New York office. Partner Henry Roske and counsel Moritz Masberg join the firm’s corporate and German practice groups through a combination with H. Roske & Associates. Separately, partner Shane O’Neill and counsel Deborah Korman join from Ingram LLP as members of the real estate group.
• Diane Pompei Emery and Scott Emery have joined Segal McCambridge as shareholders. They join from Lynch Daskal Emery, a firm Scott Emery helped launch as a founding partner in 2006, which now goes by the name Lynch Daskal.
• McGuireWoods has added Nancy Ryan as a partner in its corporate technology and outsourcing practice. She was previously a director at NetApp, Inc., serving as lead counsel for the company’s North America sales teams.
• Geoffrey Young has joined Riley Safer Holmes & Cancila as a partner in the firm’s commercial disputes and litigation practice. Prior to joining, he was a litigation partner with Katten Muchin Rosenman.
• Gerard Luckman, a partner at Forchelli Deegan Terrana in its bankruptcy & corporate restructuring practice group, has been elected president of the Institute of Management Accountants’ Long Island Chapter. His one-year term will begin on July 1, 2024.
• Pankaj Malik has opened PM Law PC, a full-service law firm based in New York.
• Clyde & Co has hired Thomas Maroney as partner. He joins from Kennedys. In addition, the firm has promoted Laura Gongaware to partner.
• Outten & Golden has promoted David Jochnowitz to partner and co-chair of the firm’s whistleblower & retaliation practice group.
• Kennedys has promoted Hilary Simon to partner in New York.
• Proskauer Rose has hired Jennifer Crystal and Jennifer (Jenny) Dunn as a partners in its private funds group. Crystal joins from WndrCo. Dunn joins from Schulte.
• Scott Greenspan has joined Sills Cummis & Gross as co-chair of the firm’s insurance practice group and chair of its New York insurance practice group.
